Deng-Ping Fan 范登平

Deng-Ping Fan is a Full Professor and deputy director of the Media Computing Lab (MCLab) at the College of Computer Science, Nankai University, China. Before that, he was postdoctoral, working with Prof. Luc Van Gool in Computer Vision Lab @ ETH Zurich. From 2019-2021, he was a research scientist (PI) and team lead of IIAI-CV&Med in IIAI, working with Prof. Ling Shao and Prof. Jianbing Shen. He received his Ph.D. from Nankai University in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Ming-Ming Cheng. His research interests are in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Medical Image Analysis. Specifically, he focuses on Dichotomous Image Segmentation (General Object Segmentation, Camouflaged Object Segmentation, Saliency Detection), Multi-Modal AI. He is an outstanding member of CSIG and is one of the core technique members in TRACE-Zurich project on automated driving. [CV]
范登平,南开大学教授、系主任,南开百名青年学科带头人,曾是ETH Zurich博士后、阿联酋IIAI研究主管。 主持承担了国家优秀青年科学基金(海外)项目、国家自然科学基金面上项目等。 主要研究方向是微视觉计算、AI4Science、认知计算和医学图像分析,在SCI一区/CCF A类刊物发表高质量论文20余篇(含13篇TPAMI),论文谷歌引用3.6万余次,H指数64,8篇论文引用超过1,000次, 单篇最高引用6千余次。 代表性工作包括DAVSOD(获2019年CVPR最佳论文入围奖)、UCNet(获2020年CVPR最佳论文入围奖)、SINet-v2(获2021年优秀计图论文奖)、PVT-v2(获2022年CVMJ最佳论文提名奖)、 Mindstorms(获2023年NeurIPS研讨会最佳论文)、PVT(获2023年世界人工智能大会青年优秀论文奖)、BirefNet (2024年下载量超千万次&互联网+天津赛区金奖) 以及PraNet(获2025年MICCAI青年科学家最具影响力论文奖)等。 技术被用于日本LPIXEL、长安望江、华为、阿里巴巴旗舰产品。 多次入选全球高被引科学家、中国高被引学者和斯坦福全球前2%“终身科学影响力榜单”。 获得CCF优秀博士学位论文奖、吴文俊优秀青年奖。现担任中国图象图形学学会副秘书长、理事和顶级期刊IEEE TPAMI编委。
